With Klipper the main device running Klipper (raspberry pi, laptop, etc) does that gcode processing which can include input shaping while being faster. The main disadvantage of moving to Klipper is therefore having to need a separate device to run it and potentially losing the display functionality.
/r/klippers -- a place to discuss all things related to the Klipper 3d Printer Firmware. Old Printer? Cheap Printer? New Printer? Bad Prints? Great Prints? Klipper can help you and your machine produce beautiful prints at a fraction of the time. This is not an official Klipper support channel and poorly moderated so ymmv. Klipper is an operating system for your printer. But instead of running on your printer's controller, it runs on a raspberry pi (or any other Linux system) and forwards the motion commands to the controller.
Klipper: Klipper is a firmware that leverages the computing power of a computer (the S905X in this case) to process gcode/interface with the microcontroller directly on your printer's motherboard.
If you enjoyed my previous step-by-step guide to Marlin firmware, I've recently switched to Klipper on my Ender 3 v2 and it has taken my printing to a whole new level. I thought I'd share a setup guide for anyone else who's interested.
Klippain - the pain-free Klipper configuration! Hi all, Some of you already know my macros for automatic input shaper, adaptive bed mesh, vibration and speed tuning, automatic calibrations, ... and my "almost generic" configuration that started in April 2021. It's already used by thousands of people, but mainly by the Voron Discord.
YES! That's the right thing to do. Was already looking into this printer, this now made me buy it. Hardware-wise it seems to be very solid - it will be great to use with Mainsail, Moonraker and Klipper. Of course still some work has to be done for that, but I'm sure it will happen now. Some folks already provided rooting instructions for the Linux firmware.
This project can be applied to any 3d printer running Klipper with a TJC/Nexiton display. You would need to compile your own screen firmware for the specific model if its different than the TJC4827X243-011-P02 model.
If you enjoyed my previous step-by-step guide to Marlin firmware, I've recently switched to Klipper on my Ender 3 v2 and it has taken my printing to a whole new level. I thought I'd share a setup guide for anyone else who's interested. What is Klipper? Klipper is fundamentally similar to Marlin except that it runs on the Raspberry Pi vs. the motherboard itself. The firmware on the motherboard ...
Dear community, I finished installing an MKS Robin Nano v3.1 in my Kobra 2 Pro for running a native Klipper. Since it might be helpful for someone who wants to do the same, I made a somewhat extensive description with some pictures and notes about how to proceed and what to keep an eye on (see links further down below). I decided to mount the MKS board in the stock housing. For an easier ...
