Now that summer is here and walkers are getting in more mileage, the sore muscles are setting in. Be sure to stretch before and after each walk in order to lengthen your muscles and prevent tightness.
“The posterior tibialis is a muscle that originates on the back, or posterior, part of the tibia and fibula (your lower leg bones), up close to your knee,” explains Cathlin Fitzgerald, D.P.T, C.S.C.S.
Most people obviously don't run 26 miles on a regular basis, so the strain of a marathon can seriously shock the muscles.
