Ewan Gordon McGregor (/ ˈjuːən / YOO-ən; [1] born 31 March 1971) is a Scottish actor and filmmaker. His accolades include a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Ewan made his directorial debut with American Pastoral (2016), an adaptation of Philip Roth 's book, in which Ewan also starred. In 2018 McGregor won an Golden Globe for his work in the TV Series Fargo.
